Engineering Resources LLC is currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. This position involves the practical application of engineering principles to design projects in any or all of the following areas:
- Water/Wastewater Planning and Design
- Hike and Bike Trail Planning and Design
- Roadway and Street Design
- Urban Master Planning
- Site Planning and Land Development
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will oversee Engineers and Technical Support personnel. You will work on business development, proposal writing, and project management, as well as plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering projects that involve conventional engineering practices and/or complex features. Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within established budget parameters.
- Create and oversee budget and design, perform QA/QC, track workload, lead client contact and oversee project status report reviews for project in the division.
- Lead new business development initiatives, including following through on leads, preparing SOQ's, maintaining and building existing client relationships and preparing formal project proposals.
- Develop and maintain a 5 year business plan for the Division which includes marketing and staffing plans as components.
- Project future revenues with the creation of Opportunities in Vision on a monthly basis.
- Manage the Division's accounts receivable, billed labor and overhead expenses on a monthly basis.
- Hire, train and mentor all the staff in the division and provide for their leadership development. Maintain a turn-over rate of less than 10% annually.
- Assist in preparation, compilation, review and presentation of results of planning and engineering studies.
- Effectively convey work product and project results in technical documents, interviews, and oral presentations.
- Attend meetings with Clients.
- Supervise professional staff, CAD Techs and administrative staff regarding project related responsibilities.
Qualifications
We are seeking self-motivated candidates with an entrepreneurial drive and the ability to work independently or within a project team for the completion of assigned task. Qualified candidates must have as a minimum the following:
- Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
- Must be Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas with the ability to become licensed in other states
- Must have 5+ years of experience with Project Management
- Strong project management and leadership skills; successful history of managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Market knowledge and sound business acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive experience with the design of site grading, streets, drainage, water, sewer, and detention facilities.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD- Civil 3D and MS Office
- Valid Texas Driver's License
